Price the job with the Estimator or a full BOQ, then invoice or track the build.

Spreadsheet import

Already have your items in a spreadsheet?

Import them as a CSV file — the file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

01

Save your sheet as CSV

In Excel or Google Sheets, use File → Save As (or Download) → CSV. Keep one row per item.

02

Columns we look for

Description, Quantity, Unit and Rate. Headers can be named loosely — 'Item', 'Qty', 'Price' all work. No header? We read them in that order.

03

Check and send

Units like m2, nos or bags are matched to the form's units. Review the lines, add VAT if needed, then save, print or send.

Have a priced Excel BoQ in any layout? BoQ Import reads Excel files directly.

Why a vague quote costs you jobs — and money

01

Rates you can defend

Itemised quantities, units and rates show the client exactly what they are paying for — no lump sums that hide cement or rod prices.

02

A validity date on every quote

Material prices move fast in Nigeria. A "valid until" date protects you when cement or iron rod prices change before the client accepts.

03

From accepted quote to invoice

When the client accepts, turn the quotation into an invoice in one click instead of typing it all again.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Q.Is the quotation builder free?+

Yes — create, save and print quotations free. Free printouts carry a small nigeriabuildingcost.ng watermark; a 7-day or 90-day pass removes it.

Q.Can I import my items from a spreadsheet?+

Yes. Save your sheet as a CSV file with description, quantity, unit and rate columns and import it — the file is read in your browser, not uploaded. You can also import section totals from a saved BoQ tender.

Q.What do the presets include?+

Each preset adds a typical list of work items with sensible units. Rates start blank because every contractor prices differently — fill in your own quantities and rates.

Q.Does it add VAT?+

Yes. Tick "Include VAT" and 7.5% is added and shown as a separate line.

Q.What happens when the client accepts?+

Mark the quotation as accepted and convert it into an invoice in one click — the client, items and totals carry over.
