✓ Light on mobile dataBefore anything is compared, you see every line we found. Fix a wrong quantity, correct a rate, or remove lines that aren't part of the job.
✓ You stay in controlEach price is shown next to the typical range for your city. Lump sums and items we don't have a price for are listed, never guessed.
✓ ±15% toleranceWhere our prices come from
The same material, labour and work-item rates behind our Building Cost Estimator, adjusted for each of 11 cities and reviewed against published market reports. Prices we haven't been able to confirm yet are left out of the comparison.
We read every line of your quotation and match it to our price list of building materials, labour and common work items. A price within 15% of our rate for your city is treated as normal. Anything above that is flagged, and the amount above the top of the normal range is shown as a possible saving.
Lines with no quantity (lump sums), or measured in a different unit from our list (for example sand in trips rather than tons), are shown but not judged. A higher price isn't always wrong — brand, specification and delivery distance matter — so use the results to ask your contractor good questions. Want a full estimate instead? Try the Building Cost Estimator or upload a bill of quantities to BOQ Import.
